Anyone know of a good pepper jack from any of the common supermarkets, they hardly put any peppers in anymore and the last times I had any it had no spice at all.
I haven't used ppu brass in any American cartridges so I can't say for sure there quality, I've heard some reloaders complain like with 270 win or 7-08 brass. All the brass or ammo using ppu brass and others ppu makes and rebrands like belom has been great especially for the money.
Here's one I put together, was given a j.p.sauer 8x57 barrel that cut to fit small ring mauser. I had this sporter 1891 argentine, I did a little stock work and fit a few things, aged the wood to make it look old again.
Can't call this a Bubba rifle, well the pre64 collectors may especially since it's a supergrade 3006. Shot around moa today with some factory 180s and some 150 loads I made up. It will be a work rifle tho.
Steel case wolf or tula will put 5 under 3/4" at 100 yards, shoots so good I've barely reloaded for it and I've got a few hundred lapua cases to try out along with the nice ppu brass I've shot up.
Nice I'm really wanting to switch to one 160s in my ruger ts ND the ab maybe it, overkill for the deer I hunt but it's a good do all bullet. Last few deer were shot with very old partitions and worked great but about out. 140s just seem to damage to much meat, I shot a doe at 15 yards a few...
Wish it showed if the butt is cast off to one side or the other, seems if the butt was just straight back like a normal rifle it would shoulder better. Maybe for someone In a wheelchair with use of one arm the butt supported by the chair back. Very cool a unique rifle for sure.
This rifle has come a long way since I bought it a few years ago as a barreled action, the rifle was destroyed by a old timer with dementia and went at it with what looked like a pick and a brick. It was once a 1953 supergrade m70, unfortunately the stock was destroyed along with most of the...
I love cheese unfortunately I don't get to have much to often, apart from mozzarella we get for the weekly shopping I don't seem to have time to look and try other cheese when I want. Do like some sharp cheddar now and then. Used to go up salmon fishing a few times a year to Pulaski and there...
No but can say they are good people, Andy made me a offer for a supergrade front sight and I got the parts to finish the rifle I was working on. Do wish they had more in-stock but I understand there not much supply out there.
When I lived in Birmingham al for two years when my parents were getting the divorce there was a panhandler that got hit by a car and died at the 65 off ramp, they found out the guy had like 600,000 in the bank.
What reticle dose yours have, video I've seen the clicks don't sound very loud but probably fine. How is the eye relief. I think I would have ordered the 4-16 but that 6-8week wait sucks if it comes in that quick.
I've got a mauser m18 in 6.5 prc and it shoots great, it's a deer rifle right now but would like a scope that has good turrets for having some fun. Just have a older burris ff2 3-9x40 on it, great for hunting but about it. I'm thinking about 3-15/4-16 range scope, nothing to big and heavy. The...
The fat wrench digital goes down to 15in but it's really a pain sometimes, about impossible to hear the noise when your at the inlb setting. The rubber overmolding sucks to.
I won't be using sst's anytime soon, they just blow up and waste way to much meat, I jellied one deer from the neck to the last rib one time. I've tried the new "tougher" sst and seen no different in 270 7mm and 30cal. The hotcor seem to just punch a clean 1.5" hole out the back of a deer and...
I didn't get a chance yet to give the scope a look at sunset got caught up cooking dinner yesterday and went out for birthday dinner today and missed sunset. Try tomorrow I guess, I'd win $300 bucks at the casino another 100 I would order another scope lol.
I really wish leupold and other scope manufacturers would start making a nice fixed 4 power scope, often its all the zoom I need and there something nice about not worrying the scopes on the wrong power. Even the 3-9 range scopes I seem to keep them on 4x most of the time, I think we just like...
I didn't see the plug for when you take off the throw lever in the box so I called leupold to get one. Guy said they don't add the plug anymore but he will be sending me one free of charge. So just a heads up for anyone the vx3hd don't come with that plug any longer, not sure on the other scopes...
I wish I could afford there 2-12 but even this vx3 was a big expense for me, I either go with the burris ff2 but there discontinued now or the freedom. If I didn't want the firedot the standard vx-3 3.5-10x10 is only 399 right now. I have a mauser m18 in 6.5prc I really want a 3-15 on there but...
I've been wanting one of the howa carbons, either a 6arc or a 7mm-08 both would be better lol. I would like to see a 40mm and 50mm side by side in low light but Givin the exit pupil at low power are eyes may not tell the difference.
Well my new leupold will be delivered tomorrow, I took advantage of the sale they have now and got a vx-3hd 3.5-10x40mm with the firedot reticle they call them the twilight hunter I guess. I've always wanted to try the firedot and figure with the sale and now that here in New York we can hunt 30...
I don't mind the s&b but all that I've used the rims weren't undercut enough and put a lot of stress on the extractor plus they won't fit in a no 2 or 3 shell holder. The s&b is loaded hotter.
Finally my shaw 9.3 barrel I ordered on black Friday came, would have shipped that week but ordered a custom 6 arc barrel for my buddy so that was the hold up. Should make a nice rifle on that 09 argentine action I have for it. Still need to pull the old barrel off and get this one on, but have...
I hate what winchester did with the 350 legend when it came out they pretty much lied about everything possible for that round. A good family friend who is a big 351 win guy tried one out and didn't like it, that was all I needed to not want one. The 360 buckhammer although it's clearly trying...
