Tomorrow I will fly out of LAX via Qatar on my way to Mahenya for an elephant hunt with York! I booked this hunt at Nashville SCI show. This will be my second safari this year. I will try to post updates and pics as much as I can.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. I am taking the Heym 500NE & Blaser R8 375. For the 500 I have loaded Swift break-away, Barnes solids and TSX. The 375 I loaded up some Barnes & Nosler solids.

Just arrived to Harare. Everything went very smoothing with Qatar, I was all checked with guns and ammo under an hour. I should arrive in Mahenya tomorrow and start hunting the day after.

1st day of hunting and we saw maybe 40-50 elephants! Bunch of cows and several young bulls 30-40lb range. Found several large bull tracks heading back to that area this afternoon.

What's the temperature? It was pretty hot when I was there last year early September
