Has anyone hunted Cape Buffalo with Tukutela Safaris pvt. Ltd. ?

Never heard of them.

Nor have I.
PH’s?
Areas?

I have seen them on Facebook. They seem all right

It has to be reputable if it’s in Facebook! I’ve never had my Kruger buffalo photos stolen and used to advertise an outfitter’s hunts in Zambia! That outfitter’s Facebook page looked pretty good too.

I think the owner is Frank Lau. He has written some hunting books as well and they are a pleasure to read. But all in German and small quantifies. We wanted to hunt buffalo in Zimbabwe in 2017 couldn’t find a spot for both of us. He was very friendly and I would book if I had the chance. I’ve got contact with a German who had hunted with him and he was very satisfied. They offer Namibia and Zimbabwe I think.

Since we were asked for the PH's opinion on the controversial topic .375 should be banned from buffalo hunts!, I would like to use this to bring to mind one of my friend and PH Frank Lau, sadly passed away a few years ago. I was friends with him for years and hunted with him in Zimbabwe and Mozambique. We also met us regularly in Germany with some other german hunters who hunted with him in Africa. I know he was viewed somewhat controversially, but despite that, I always appreciated his friendly manner and we both shared a love of big bore rifles for hunting dangerous game, above all buffalo and elephants.

I am sorry to hear of Franks passing. My first hunt with him was in Hochfeld in 2014. We were culling warthog. There were a lot of them! He was a nice guy to be with. Unfortunately Vicki’s cooking put me off returning.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
