ZIMBABWE: First Hunt In Africa, First Hunting Report, Dalton & York Safaris

Who built your leather products? Looks nice.

I will have that done here when it gets back, thanks for the tip

When they use your leather the products are much cheaper than the advertised price on the website

Good to know. I'm going to research that further. I like the look of those wingback chairs and wonder if there are options to provide hides for that.

Green Chile - Please let us know what you find out on furniture options as I would like to know the same. There is a place in Houston (where I am at) that I have some skins with to do gun cases, purses, notepad covers, etc... but they dont do furniture. Cheers

Will do. I sent an email asking questions about it. If anyone has more info or other favorite sources, please let us know.

Getting my trophies back just got one step closer. Zebra is done and crate packed. I can’t wait.

And oh ya, I’ve already booked my second trip to Africa. Working on my third as we speak

Looks good, I'm about to get a crate myself very soon.

What a hunt!
I wholeheartedly congratulate!

Congrats on a great first hunt and some amazing trophies. What part of CT?

Not sure who you’re using on the taxidermy side in CT but you might want to look at Johnny with Its A Trophy Taxidermy in the Waterford area. He has a ton of experience with African animals and is a great guy. If I lived closer, he’d be doing some work for me.
Well I’ll be using Johnny in the future. Just dropped of an elk to have a euro mount done and we spoke about africa. He will do my buff the way I want it to be and make sure it’s exactly like my pictures .

Johnny is a good guy and will take care of you. I’ve thought about having him do a safari for me but it’s a little cost prohibitive even if my retired father drives it cross country. If I kill a good buck I want mounted on my CT property, I’ll have him mount it.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
