ZIMBABWE: First Elephant Hunt In Zimbabwe

Great bull, congrats !

Nice bull, congratulations.

Wayne is an excellent PH with great pricing. His trackers, Sam, Cainon, and Ndlovo will locate many elephants, some a little closer than one would want
Hi David you need to mention the one we nearly stepped on and the other 2 that we encountered ..

Day 2 was an exciting Day-hunt as we covered nearly 8 kms. At one point we watched a herd of cows and calves move parallel to us across a dry river bed, and then we walked right into a sleeping bull (2 yards in front of us)! He was a bit young, so we quietly backed away and marched on to find another sleeping in the heat with his partner standing next to him facing away. Wayne got me within 15 feet before the standing bull swung around and the sleeping bull stood up faster than I could raise my rifle. They too were not the trophy I was looking for, but having 2 full grown bulls, heads up and ears out, standing 15 feet in front of me staring down questioning my intentions, made my day! Once my heart started beating again, I realized no matter how this hunt turned out, I already had a wonderful experience!

Very nice thanks for sharing.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
