Zimbabwe 2019 only a little more than 1 week out!

Will do buddy!! Enjoy your time as well!! And loved the pics on Facebook of y’all at Devil’s Pool!!!!

Knowing Royal's companion and your companion on the Zambezi trips, you got the short straw.:D

First of all good luck on your respective hunts. What date are you leaving, how long are your hunts? DG clues???

Wow Bob, I thought we were friends :ROFLMAO:(y) lol!

I leave this coming Sunday morning, 10 days of hunting for each of us. As far as clues go for me.... possibly something black and mean, or something spotted, or something or things that like the water

Good luck Charles, looking forward to the hunt report!

Plus 1. BTW what caliber rifles will you be using? Yours or rented?

Just an FYI about the company that makes it. According to my outfitter, he refuses to buy Amarula any more because the company has gone viral against hunting!
Very interesting- I had not heard that. Shame on them!!!

I do love Amarula myself. I was crushed when Pieter told me that.

@Shootist43 ,

I'll be taking my Winchester Model 70 .375, I typically use the outfitters rifle these days but wanted to take my own again for this hunt.

Sounds like a great "open-ended" hunt!

I bet that can get expensive fast, if the animals cooperate and you are weak! :)

Be safe and don't let anything steal the joy of being in Africa and doing what you love.

Unless cpr312 has done something he hasn't told us about he is still single and $$$ is the least of his worries.;);)

Haha yes I suppose bad things could happen if I let them! There is a budget, and there are 2-3 scenarios that will play out in that budget(y).
Although I have been weak in the past and figured, I'm here so why not

Best of luck of the safaris. Some of my best times in Africa were spent on those trips with no agenda. Amazing what comes your way when not targeting some specific. Probably were also my most expensive now that I think about it

Down to less than 24 hours now and stoked!!! I barely slept last night, I suppose tonight may be a goose egg for sleep!

Charles, did I miss something? Have you written up and posted photos from your latest adventure?

No sir you haven't missed anything, I've been overloaded with work since I've been back. I will try to get a report going next week.

I will first off say that our safari was incredibly AWESOME!!!!! I, too, have been swamped with work upon return and will not get any real downtime for at least a week to devote to beginning the saga of our epic adventure. But, it was indeed a wonderful safari- the best to date for myself- I got everything I set out to get. The hunting is definitely fairly difficult in that area physical fitness wise, but the animals (ele, croc, hippo, buff, leopard, lion) are most certainly there!!! That being said, I also did the most terrifying thing in my life- bungee jumping off the bridge that connects Zim and Zambia at Vic Falls!!!! My son's only souvenir request this trip over was actual video and photo footage of that and I could not disappoint him! Anyway, much more to come in the following weeks- just wanted to update everyone that it was truly a capital adventure!

I’m so envious! Lol. Good luck!!!

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.
