Hey all, I found a Zastava 300 WM in left hand. I am considering getting it and converting it to a 458 WM. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of this rifle and know if I would need to put a new stock on it to handle the increased recoil of the 458. As I understand it after a new barrel there are no other changes needed to change the caliber. Am I correct in this?

Input much appreciated.

May need feed lip work, most likely will, I’ve got a barrel off one that was converted to 338 and that still needed some love to get it to work

I know very little about this brand of rifle. Can I assume that it is a reliable copy of the Mauser?

I assume you mean the zastava m70 sporting rifle, which is a fairly good copy, some had issues with scope holes drilled off centre. Which could be corrected by appropriate rings and bases, they are well made in general out of good steel.

Have an older Zastava 7RM barelled to 375R. Feed rails needed to be opened up, mag box walls were thinned (widened mag), follower needed metal welded to side to match modified mag width (last round feed issue), ejector face welded up to add length (empty cases hitting on ejection port and not ejecting cleanly, not sure if that was a Zastava ejector or M98 replacement. Ejector slot accepted longer ejector modification) ) and rib at rear of ejection port was beveled to help ejection.
Nothing unsurmountable but it took a little work to cycle reliably. Action has no serial number on top of action. So it's old enough that newer ones may not be the same.

You have the wrong person. I have no idea what you are talking about..

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
