Frostbit,
One of the most riveting reports I have ever read. Your unique ability with the written word had me shadowing you and Madam each step of the way. Thanks for sharing.
I again say thank you Sir for the kind words on the writing style. I'm a bit disappointed in that when I cut and pasted the text from AR it put some strange characters in the place of apostrophes and quotation marks. I didn't catch the fact it also put a ? at the end of sentences in the place of some quotation marks. I should have done some better due diligence but honestly, it was late at night when I popped the report over onto this site.
I love telling a good tale in person verbally as well as written.
The whole story of Andrew's start up, the community benefitting, me getting my mature Lion, and the game coming back to the area makes me feel good as a hunter/conservationist.
We need to get this message across to our non-hunting friends. The anti's will always be unreasonable and unreachable but Joyce and I have done what we can to educate friends and co-workers that do not hunt about what our hunting dollars did for this area.
It's funny but when she showed pictures of the hunt to co-workers at the hospital they all pretty much stayed silent until they saw a dead Lion. Then it was, "Ah, you killed a lion". After she explained what that dead Lion did for the locals, the other game, and the rest of his breed, some of them started to understand.
We, as hunters, do not take that message to the masses enough!!
Cheers
Jim
