RESERVE RANCH with its one-of-a-kind Hacienda sitting on the high bank of the Nueces River, is a magnificent hunting area encompassing five square miles.

Encompassing five square miles of some of the best habitat in South Texas, the Reserve Ranch is bordered by two and a half miles of one of the best stretches on the Nueces River. Protected for decades the river with its deep, Gin clear pools of water rippling over river-washed stones is home to largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, Guadalupe Bass, along with a variety of panfish such as redbreast sunfish, rock bass, green sunfish, and Rio Grande perch. Additionally, Channel and Blue Catfish are found in the river as well. Fishermen will clamor to this destination as it offers untouched fishing for both fly and Spincast sportsmen.

Wingshooting

Reserve-Ranch-12.jpg

At the RESERVE RANCH, we offer a variety of wing shooting opportunities to consider.
Our Dove hunting takes place at flyways along the Nueces River, alongside of ponds and adjacent to planted fields. We can accommodate groups of up to twenty on a typical day.
South Texas has been known for outstanding Bobwhite Quail hunting, and the Reserve Ranch is no exception.

Upland Game Bird Shooting

Quail hunting.jpg

In addition to the Bobwhite Quail, we offer hunts for Pheasant and Chukar. The hunts will take place in various locations across the ranch where the native brush has been sculpted for grasses to flourish.
Each hunting rig will have trained pointers and handlers to provide the hunters with a most enjoyable experience shooting for Bobwhite Quail.

Rio Grande Wild Turkey

Reserve-Ranch-11.jpg

The turkey hunts take place during the mating season (Spring) while the gobblers are in search of hens. The Reserve Ranch has over 2.5 miles of Nueces River frontage and this riparian area is an ideal habitat for the Wild Turkey. This is an exciting hunt that takes place in a beautiful time of year as the pastures come back to life from Winter.

Might I suggest to get your website link set up in the signature line to make things easier. Maybe run an AH special to get a hunting report going (me,me,me) :ROFLMAO:.

Thanks @buck wild, the signature line with photos and logo is a live link, just click on it and it will take you to my website.

We're still getting our feet on the ground but there will be some specials coming. Its just too early this year but maybe an AH Quail hunt next year around DSC might be an option.

Hello Doug,
I am Philippe from France and plan to go hunting Caprivi in 2026, Oct.
I have read on AH you had some time in Vic Falls after hunting. May I ask you with whom you have planned / organized the Chobe NP tour and the different visits. (with my GF we will have 4 days and 3 nights there)
Thank in advance, I will appreciate your response.
Merci

Hi Walden. Good morning from England, Chris here (The Englishman!) from Croatia. Firstly it was a pleasure to meet you and Michelle - a fellow Sanderson! I have finally joined AH as I enjoy it very much. Glad you enjoyed the hunt and your write up which I read on AR was very good indeed. I am sending on WhatsApp pics from Bojan of some of the animals hunted recently. Take care and best regards. CS.
