Wyoming Antelope Hunt

So might you be looking for a new friend? One thing I haven't taken since moving west 22 years ago is a pronghorn.

Absolutely Shameless...............................but if you want two new friends.:D

Nice thread with some nice pronghorns.

Thanks for sharing to all.

Really.....when it comes to hunting......I'm not completely opposed to begging.

You guys have no idea how many friends you have until you have a place to hunt deer and antelope in Wyoming for little money.

I agree........I am even willing to pay.

It is probably 15-20 years since my last pronghorn. Doubt I could even find the places I have hunted before.

It would be a great hunt for you to take your boys on.

I am sure you have friends lining up around the block when hunting season rolls around........then if you take them you don't even get a thank you card or a fake "Cuban" come Christmas..........then hunting season rolls around again.:D

Just a little early in the day... Unless I was going hunting! Bruce

Actually they start lining up after new year, cause they know the WY license lottery application period starts then.

Here's a nice little pair I took in WY a few years ago.

Yes I bow hunted them once about 20 years ago. Didn't like hunting over the water hole so I made it a spot and stalk affair. I chased a buck around for 4 hours until I finally shot him. I had him so confused I think he just surrendered. I used a white cloth and a fawn bleat call to get in close, thank God they are very inquisitive creatures. I can tell you that the WY wind really messes with arrow flight too.

That's elk hunting for me here in Arizona. Got a guy here at work who wouldn't even point me in a direction for quail when I was still new here. I didn't want his spot, just a little help. He was yacking it up about his great quail hunt at lunch one day, I then asked him for advice on where I could go. Thought for a second there he was going to tell me where I could go, and not quail hunting. Instead he more politely told me to shove off.

Fast forward to 2010 when I killed a bull elk with my bow. Once again at lunch, folks were asking me about my hunt. The quail guy is there and has the cajones to ask me where I got my elk? I just laughed and said right in the lungs like you're supposed to with an arrow. He chuckles and has the even bigger cajones to ask again. With a dead serious look on my face, I said "In the friggin' woods, where else?" Like I'm going to give up an elk spot to a clown who won't even give me a little advice on a lousy quail!

All the time I look and read all about the pronghorn hunt, I can´t imagine all different as a REAL HUNT...
It´s a sensation I perhaps never feel myself, and it´s a cause to CONGRATULATIOS YOUSELF and be gratefull to you for share this!

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
