Would you like a Cigar?

Beautiful morning in Tucson, however, it doesn't last long. The Sun climbs, the inferno begins.

Along with the morning coffee, a Caldwell Blind Man's bluff Connecticut.

I have one I've been meaning to try. Your tasting notes are exactly what I am hoping for.
I've had a few other Perdomo brands, but this is the first Champagne I've smoked. I consider it a pretty decent smoke.

Guys, what is your critique on Haupmann Habanos half coronas? I love a cigar, but cant take too much or i get quite ill, are these the right choice or what can you recommend. I love the taste of these though.

The HUHC is one of my favorite summer and winter smokes.

When it’s super hot or cold outside, the HUHC lets me enjoy a cigar and be done in 20-30 minutes without wasting a larger stick.

The flavors are great in my opinion.. very classic Cuban floral profile with a little herb in the background..

And they are affordable.. whenever I transit Dubai, you can typically pick up a box for less than $110 if the exchange rate is good.. or for just a few bucks more in Saudi Arabia...

Kevin, great question. I find any of the petite corona or similar size cigars to be great for a limited amount of time, or when you are a casual smoker. I smoke cigars constantly, and still avoid the churchill size for the simple reason that I rarely find the large amount of time required for a single smoking session of one of those babies. I understand what you are talking about with getting ill. I vividly remember a friend sharing a Cuban Cohiba Esplendido with me. I got 2/3of the way through, felt my stomach turn, and sweat beaded up all over my head. Thought I would barf. Too long a smoke, too strong, and just not the volume of smoker I am today. It’s a great cigar, but the conditions must be right. After a good meal, perfect. Late afternoon on an empty stomach. Not so much. A great smoke if you can find it is the My Father Le Bijou in the petite robusto. Rich flavor, and about a 30 min smoke. If you like Cubans that are not too bold, the Romeo and Julietta Petetite Corona, or the Partagas Petite Corona Especiales are both excellent smokes that are not too over powering. Hope this helps.

A "gentleman" doesn't smoke a cigar more than halfway...not so much adhered to today though.

I bought some small Ashton tin cigars like that and they dried out super fast when put in the same humidor as the rest, but Mayne it was my dumb luck. Maybe someone with more knowledge can chime in.

I've never tried the H.Upmann before, so I don't really know.

I smoke a lot of strong cigars, but not over the top strong.

Last year, there was a Friday that I came home from work tired and hungry. I fired up a double Ligero, and it absolutely kicked my butt.

There is much online info on cigars that can also tell you about the strength, and flavor notes, of most cigars.

Just seen the rest of the replies, thanks to all of you. I will stick to the babies for now until i manage to get back to Johannesburg and source your recommendations.
As an aside, you may remember this Rigby advert, makes you want to go and hunt a buff right now. When I hunted my buff I wanted to emulate this moment, but the heavens opened, even hail, so it had to wait until we were back a the camp fire.

A Cohiba Lancero was the smoke for this evening.

A very pleasant way to kill 90 minutes in celebration of my new job.

Grassy, floral, hot leather, steadily building complexity throughout the smoke, nice marzipan sweetness from halfway onwards.

It's a shame that the classic Cuban tight draw problem reared its ugly head though.

I'd have another, although at that price point, I'll have to score another promotion first!

Anyone else a fan of the Lancero format? I think it's a very classy smoke and it really accentuates the changes in taste throughout. Much more pleasant both aesthetically and ergonomically than the more popular short and squat robustos that are so popular imo.

Sorry you didn't quite get this moment, @Kevin Peacocke. But at least you got the buff and a cigar.

While that picture is amazing and something I would love to recreate myself when I get to hunt a cape buffalo, I can't see myself spending $18/stick on cigars. It would have to be something amazing.

It's a 2 Cigar afternoon. It's hard to top a Padron, but round #2, is a good smoke from the Don Pepin Garcia family. This is named after his son, Jaime Garcia.

The Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial. A full bodied, yet, very smooth blend of ,Coffee, Earthy, Cedar, and very light pepper spice. An all around good smoke at a friendly price point.

Sublimes from Jaromirski & Co - boutique cigar, not my cup of tea. I tasted a lot of pepper in this one. Great construction, easy draw and even burning though.
