Would you like a Cigar?

The brand new Rockwell Quad flame lighter that I received from Cigars International, has a crack in the casing.

Drats!

Time to call customer service.

I tried one each of the AJ Fernandez sampler. The Diesel Unlimited Maduro, is probably the only one of the bunch that I would buy again. I like full flavored cigars, just not over the top spicy, which most of these are.

I was considering buying a box of My Father Le Bijou's.

Cigars International, and JR, are all sold out.

They got em at Famous Smoke Shop. Just got a couple more boxes. But they are getting hard to find.

All the My Father blends seem to be in short supply from the major players.

Another favorite, AVO Nicaragua (y) I smoked this cigar on Sunday. :)

Try Bestcigarprices.com

I purchased my last box from there, and had them at an excellent price. I'm subscribed to their e-mail alerts, and get notified when they have sales.

Camacho Check Six, one of my favorites, and always have them in my humidors

Here is another Camacho Jamastan, unfortunately Camacho doesn’t make this blend or label anymore.

Been a great weekend so far! Wife in Florida. Yard work getting done. Milder temps. And a lot of cigar smoking on the screened porch!

Just fired up a Man' O War ruination. Not quite as brutal as the first one last week. I guess it helps to have a couple others first. That AJ Fernandez sampler is definitely full bodied, and zesty.

LMAO!!!!! That looks like my ashtray, I'm glad I'm not the only one. LOL!!!!!

I don't know how many of you know it but JRCigar is having some sort of problems. If you go to yelp you'll see all the recent ratings are 1 out of 10. Apparently (they say) they are redoing their ordering system but this has been going on for months. I, myself, noticed that part of my last two orders have been held back and I haven't even bothered to contact them because the reviewers say they won't answer emails or phone calls. Too bad, way to destroy a business. Since they are owned by Imperial Tobacco, I don't understand why this has been allowed to happen.

I went over to Cigars International and bought 20 stick samplers from Diesel and Rocky Patel. I'm unimpressed with both of these but that got me to wondering if the cigars in these samplers are the same as the ones you buy normally.

I also bought some Alec Bradley Prensados locally. I was disappointed with these. Very little flavor at the start and then very bitter!

I have been hearing complaints about JR cigars also. I almost ordered from them, but held back and went with Cigars International. Had some problems with Thompson in the past, and quit using them.

I have been asking questions about the industry shortage of My Father blends, Arturo Fuente, and other brands, but nobody has given me an answer?

I've had good luck with Mike's Cigars, although they are a bit higher than JR, which is why I went to JR originally.

The top 5 online cigar retailers are Famous Smoke Shop, Cigars International, Mike's Cigars, JR Cigars, and Thompson Cigars.

My local shop started giving me up to 20% off, after I dropped a subtle hint about online ordering. They carry most of my favorite go to sticks, but don't carry the different varieties that I would like to sample. Even though they have online ordering, they can't compete , pricewise, with any of the big online companies.

Nugget here. A guide gave me the nickname as I looked similar to Nugent at the time. Hunting for over 50 years yet I am new to hunting in another country and its inherent game species. I plan to do archery. I have not yet ruled out the long iron as a tag-along for a stalk. I am still deciding on a short list of game. Not a marksman but better than average with powder and string.
