Would you like a Cigar?

Finally broke open this box of AVO...fine smoke

I may have to try them (y)

If you guy's have any great tasting cigars that you don't see yourself smoking, let me know! I'm a Helicopter Mechanic for the United States Customs and Border Protection Agency and a good friend of mine is a Pilot and a former Cobra Pilot and Tank Commander from the USMC. I like to surprise him with different cigars!

I am having a Montecristo regular brown band. I think I have a thing for conneticut wrappers and Dominican fillers bc this is pretty good. Very similar to the white label (which is maybe a little more creamy) and the yellow classic (which is maybe a little more nutty). This is pretty much sweet spice.

I'm glad I had it and I'd smoke it again. I'd rather have a yellow or platinum though

@curtism1234, seems like you like mild-med type cigars with a bit of character. BTW, I used to go by what I read on Cigar Aficionado, and noticed that the cigars with the highest ratings were the full body complex cigars my novice palette didn’t quite like. Fast forward 10-12 years, and I found myself smoking the same cigars I didn’t like back then. Which I believe was due to my palette craving more complex cigars due to experience or something else.

Smoking a My Father La Antiguedad cigar, another fine smoke by the My Father Cigars factory :)

I guess what I’m trying to say is, maybe ask your cigar shop what they would recommend and trial by error. I believe we’ve all been there. My 2 cents. Oh and this is not a criticism but an advice.

It's certainly been trial by error for me. I spend a lot of time reading reviews but I often find the flavor is nothing like those reviews. I approach it like craft beer years ago --- buy in singles, know you are going to dislike more than you like, and that it's all good experience. I agree with going back to some later.

I have probably tried 30 different cigars and have a very solid top 5 as I don't buy sub-5 dollar cigars. I have about another 30 to try and then I'll probably just stick to my favorites from there on out since I only have a few a month.

Since you only smoke a few a month, it’s now understandable that what we like will not be to your liking since we smoke way more in a month that you would smoke in a year :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Keep smoking what you like and enjoy those smokes. Nothing wrong with smoking mild-med body cigars. Funny, last night I smoked a very mild cigar made in Tampa, and enjoyed it ver much.

Well my favorite is the 1926 maduro :A Hi Five:

My wife tested positive for the China Virus, I’m trying to keep this virus away from me by smoking a Drew State Year of the Rat :ROFLMAO: Excellent smoke, full body with hints of cocoa & coffee, and no spice at all.
