Would you like a Cigar?

Had this Lunatic - Torch yesterday. Not sure where I picked this up? 'Shaggy foot' 70 ring gauge - I didn't get much out of this one until about the final 1/3. Not bad but not very complex. This was the first 'shaggy foot' (where the wrapper stops about 3/4" of an inch from the end of the filler) I have had and it threw me off when I looked at it...thought it was a defect! Might be better with a smaller ring gauge??

I had a sweet tooth tonight and tried a Fat Bottom Betty for the first time. Terrible experience - probably 20 touch ups before the first 3rd ended. Taste was very sweet the first 1/2" and then nothing - like breathing fog nothing. Onto something else before the night gets too late. Incredibly bad experience on a highly reviewed stick
Dead Wood tobacco quality has been lacking since Chineese flu hit. Lady at the local cigar shop told me Rocky Patel is having quality issues as well, but I haven't noticed.

My regular smoke is a Torano Exodus Gold 1959 Toro. On safari, the sundowner is a Paragas Series D No. 4. Match the Partagas with a pink gin, good company in camp, and an African sunset, and you pretty much have described paradise to me.
Ive smoked about a dozen of the Torano Exodus gold 1959. A good solid smoke.

Well, I'm going to round two of Hooten and Young with a strong pour of Buffalo Trace as the sun goes down in CommOregon.

The cigar is expensive, but mighty tasty...

Still my favorite “new” cigar in the last 3 years... those things are awesome...

And... if you’re a fine whiskey fan... H&Y’s whiskey that was released about 18 months ago is all kidding aside the best American whiskey I’ve had, ever...

It made it to the shelves in several TX locations in the last 90 days and had been available on the shelf in FL and online for a while... it’s been winning gold and silver medals in national and international competitions all year...

Nectar of the gods...

Hello cigar friends. Not sure if you've noticed that I've been MIA for the last week or so. :ROFLMAO: Went to South Florida to visit my mom to celebrate her 80th b-day. For the first time in a while we were all present for this great celebration. :) I came back sick with either the Rona or just a common cold. So, no smoking for me until I get rid of this crap.

I must try this whiskey...

I must try this whiskey...

Wonderful apple and vanilla notes on every sip... Aged 12 years.. I'd put it against any 18+ year old whiskey that sells at twice the price any day.... H&Y came up with a masterpiece IMO on this one..

Greetings cigar smokers and hope all is well. Sitting in Dulles airport about to embark on the final flight back to Nashville. Sitting in smoking room of course enjoying my 5th cigar of a 7 hour layover. Saved a few from the trip just for such an opportunity. First, did not run out. Second was an incredible 16 day safari. Lastly, report will follow but will post some things here first later regarding cigars and game from the Save Conservancy in Zim. But great to be back in the U. S. of A!

Welcome back, and safe travels. I can't wait to see pictures and read your report. Hopefully you were successful chasing Chui. :)

I am sitting on the screened porch, just showered off all the vile filth of travel from Africa, and smoking a Camacho Corojo Tora. Thank goodness for Gray’s Anatomy or I would be chatting with the Mrs about nothing. So she’s involved and I’m smoking.

I will just go ahead and blow the punch line early here for you guys as you have been faithful encouragers. Report will more closely follow the trip.

Hunted the Arda Camp of Save Conservancy in Zim. Scored on a monster leopard, and old, old daga boy.

Leopard went 180lbs, pegged 7’1”, with 16-1/2” skull. Buffalo was aged between 11-12 years old, with broomed and broken headgear. Both were just awesome hunts, plus so much more.

But the answer to the question is very successful hunt.

And finally, at least one or two cigar pics with my favorite Partagas Series D #5 Cubano!

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
