Woodleigh - Through Customs & Available For Purchase Now

Are there plans afoot to have factories start loading the ammo again outside the custom guys?
I guess that would depend on if they can meet the demand and still have the supply contracts .

The fire was a big set back for the aging owners

There seems to be plenty of Woodleigh bullets around where I am in OZ . I got some 318 , 404 , 425 and 505 at Rebel in Brisbane . All soft nose but that’s all I want . Not sure about the factory loaded availability apart from Norma . I got some of the 600 grain 505 soft nose and solids from the Rigby dealer . Only waited 2 weeks .

Geoff and Shirley did a wonderful job of rebuilding but still have a ways to go but are doing their best to catch up and keep going.
They aren't young anymore and I wonder what will happen when they are gone.
May be a change of job for you Chris, never know you may become the next big thing. I'm to old now.
Bob

Thanks for the those that ordered. Sorry to those who couldn't get what they needed. Hoping some folks will be able to trade/lend what others need while we work on getting more in-- and really hoping to have even a better selection next import cycle. On Monday, we'll start working on that. Hope everyone is having a good 4th of July weekend.
After reading this post I will put these up for whatever current replacement cost is plus USPS flat rate shipping. My hope is that the full Woodleigh line will be available from Raven Rocks in the near future but these may help a member with a hunt coming up or in the middle of load development until that time.

Woodleigh did supply Norma as a first priority, so I guess it's up to Norma production scheduling etc.

Woodleigh basically started with producing the large calibres and worked down from there. Geoff said they were now getting low / running out of some of the larger calibres, so will be starting production again on some of those soon.

Woodleigh Bullets are through customs. I'm updating the listings now. I was going to wait until I'm finished to post here first, but they're already selling quicker than I can update the website, so this is your official heads-up. We'll start shipping them out at the end of next week.

We know it's been a while since they've been in stock. We'll try to get more in the near future. If you miss out, please sign up for in-stock notifications because it also helps us gauge the next orders size.

Geoff and Shirley deserve a big thanks for literally rebuilding their company. We appreciate all your support as well--we know it's been a long wait--we will get more-- Don't forget, we still have brand new brass-- 470 NE, 500 NE, 500J, and more. Below is the link to the Woodleigh page on our site: https://ravenrocksprecision.com/brand/woodleigh/

Lastly, we will have some manuals available. I'll get those listed soon as well.

Bundaberg Rum and Worcestershire Sauce if you want a real outback Queensland drink whilst reloading your "hen's teeth" Woodleigh projectiles!

Pass, the Worcestershire is for Bacon in the morning. The cooks in camp were surprised when I wanted Worcestershire sauce and tin spaghetti with Bacon and Eggs. The food was all great but those things go together for me.

@RAVEN ROCKS PRECISION

Still waiting on 750gr .577 and 300gr .375. If they started at the large end, does this mean they are not making these any longer?
Geoff is working through it as quickly as possible--He still hasn't gotten to all the calibers and bullet weights. We'll order more of what's available soon. The crate is now scheduled to be here Monday (LTL company took their sweet time like normal), so that'll be the priority when we get in Monday morning--inventorying all the bullets and getting them out you folks. Thanks for your patience.

Most of the bullets should be/have gone out. I'm already looking into getting more. Shipping is expensive, so we have to build up to a sizable order.

As far as Norma, Sweden goes... they ordered them as far as I know, but I have no idea what their production plans are. I told Norma USA (importer) and the Amotfors, Sweden GM, that we'd take loaded ammo as well (back in January). Haven't seen or heard about it being available to the US market yet.

Imports have slowed drastically out of Sweden, and even though we've had stuff on order for over a year and half now, I can see it taking even longer.

I'm very thankful we received the 500 Nitro and 470 Nitro brass when we did. The 404J was supposedly next to ship, but with Norma Sweden on vacation for half the summer (literally), and the potential for increased tariffs, it's hard to know for sure. We have also back-burnered SHM imports for the same reason and required upfront pre-order costs make it more difficult to efficiently bring it it with floating tariff rates (and not pricing it beyond reason).

If you haven't checked out the Nosler headstamped (made by Norma brass) that we have, it's one of the best deals on the website right now.

Thanks for all of your patronage. We appreciate this community.

MTF soon.

@RAVEN ROCKS PRECISION thank you for taking up the mantle of US dealer.

I would make this suggestion that is personally relevant, but also to the majority of readers that NEED woodleigh rather than WANT woodleigh.

Woodleigh double rifle solids are similar to the original kynoch bullets. When regulating a rifle for traditional solids, we really have two choices: Woodleigh and Hornady. They are quite different with the Hornady being longer bearing surfaces that produce different regulation.

Having softs is a nicety, but for the 450-400, 470, and 500 people are trying to regulate their doubles for dangerous game. We have two choices to build regulation, woodleigh traditional solids and hornady. If a gun will not regulate for the latter, they are dependent on the former.

I plead with you to focus on importing those three traditional solid woodleigh bullets because their purchase may be compulsory, not discretionary. Softs are wrought with discretion and dozens of options, but with traditional solids the choices are few and most doubles will only shoot one or the other, not both.
