Winchester model 70 safari express problem

Update on my Winchester, it did not take 3-4 months. I got it back a week ago with a new stock. They also reblued it but I’m not sure why. I’m not going to shoot it until a gunsmith looks at it, and I’m certainly he’ll want to do some work on it.

It had a bad bedded stock i have the same gun shot it 2500 times no problems .They owe you a good stock .Those are awesome rifles favorite of my 4 416s

Just curious, were you using a lead sled?
A lot of of people use them for everything and with larger calibers and too much weight they can be hard on a stock.

Good to hear you received prompt attention with good outcome. I’ve had two, DOM early 2000s. Still have one. Excellent rifles! As a matter of course I pillar bed mine with full length bedding.

Hey Odinsraven. Is that post from Jefferry 404 legitimate? I don't know him. Thanks!

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
