I recently got a push feed mdl 70 in .225 Win. And a bunch of factory ammo. Some savage had put it in a Fajen thumb hole stock. I found an original, it’s ok, been sanded a little but not horrible, and a little whittling was done on the barrel channel. Should make a good shooter/trading stock. Anyway, the 2 piece bottom metal fits but there’s a gap between the trigger guard and the floorplate, it does latch but barely. I am wondering if the plunger is worn or if I’m missing something in my assembly process. Any insights would be appreciated.

It sounds like you got a stock that was made for the 1 piece bottom metal (the overwhelming majority of M70's are/were 1 piece bottom metal guns)...

what you need is one of the plastic adaptors that convert the stock from 1 piece to 2 piece.. essentially it just fills the gap youre seeing... it should square everything up a little better and potentially help with your latch issue as well..

just make sure you get the right one.. there is one that fits short actions.. and another that fits long and magnum actions (the long action and magnum actions are different on the "top", but are identical on the bottom of the action, use the same bottom metal, etc.. etc..)..

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
