I have a winchester model 70 that has been rebarreled to a 416 rem mag. The barrel was installed by douglas barrels. I had a local gunsmith instal the correct follower and ejector. It feeds and ejects flawlessly. There have been 11 rounds down the barrel. I have 3 and a half boxes of nosler trophy grade 400 grain partitions. 2 full boxes of barnes 350 tsx bullets, 100 pcs of new norma brass, and a set of dies. This should be enough to last quite a while. The scope is a leupold vx-3 1.5-5x20 with the #4 reticle. There are 2 blemish spots being 1 on the trigger guard and on the bottom of the cheek piece note the pictures. I built this for a buffalo hunt that is not going to happen for quite a while now if at all. I will not sell separately unless the buyer does not want the ammo or brass. I Will only ship the rifle to a ffl from my ffl at buyers expense.

I would like to get $2800 for the package

Great deal on a great buffalo rifle. Someone should snap this up.

This does not have iron sights. Barrel is 25" long

Numrich has rear iron sight for that model Winchester Safari Express.
The Winchester front sight for Safari Express was actually from Williiams. Long ramp with two screws. The height of bead would depend on placement of rear sight, caliber, and barrel profile. Williams folks are great to deal with. I bought two sets of these irons off ebay like new for $85 and $130. I mounted one set on my Springfield and the gunsmith who mounted my 404 barrel mounted the second set of irons for $60. I don't think it took him twenty minutes. This is a great setup. Easy to adjust both windage and elevation. Actually, my used factory sights had single folding rear leaf (Numrich single leaf is fixed upright) which is certainly not necessary (some find folding leaf undesirable for DGR).

Wish this offer would have been around 6 months ago. Dang.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
