Winchester 1885 custom wood?

I have a set of stocks for a Marlin 336. Claro 80% inlet (I believe 80%?) cost $750, estimated $1600 to fit and finish by a smith. I had the smith buy them from Treebone Carving.

Has anyone replaced the factory wood with something nicer? If so, what kind of $$$ is involved?
@analog_peninsula
I replaced the standard wood on my 85 lowall with a beautiful piece of exhibition grade walnut from Luxus walnut in the USA.
Ten years ago it would have been $700 plus.
My gunsmith didn't like me at the time as I wanted a pistol grip stock instead of the straight grip.
Fortunately a pistol grip 85 hi-wall came in and he was able to copy that.
The end result was worth it. He still wants to do a nice borderless 22-24 lpi checkering job on it.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
