Win Mod 70 in 375 H&H

A .375 H&H is absolutely fine for Cape Buffalo.

The PH I recently hunted with in Mozambique told me that, he as far as he was concerned, based on the performance of any factory ammo that his clients had brought, he had been most impressed with Hornady DG.

I used Hornady, because I assumed is was "good enough" and it definitely shot the most accurately in my CZ.

It was the only ammo I tested (and I tried Barnes and Federal also) that would put 400g solids and 400g expanding bullets in the same 2" group at 100 yards.

Would a professional golfer use a "range ball" that is good enough on the first hole of the Masters in Augusta, GA...no they would not. And assumptions? Well, you know what they say about assumptions.

Just like the Masters for professional golf, Dangerous Game hunting is the top tier of hunting in Africa. Are you willing to trust your life (and other members of the hunting party) to a bullet that is "good enough"? This is the only piece of kit that you bring with you that will touch the game animal. Skimping on one of the cheapest aspect of a hunt has always bewildered me.

Swift A-Frame, Barnes TSX, Federal TBBC, Norma Oryx all in 300 (most common) or 350 grains. Bring along a few true brass solids from the likes of CEB or a Woodleigh Hydro in case your PH asks you to load one. Make sure the solids shoot to the same POI as your softs.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
