Why do some outfitters get banned?

I've noticed comments in some of the threads that certain outfitters have been banned from these forums. I realize that they would be banned if they were not completely what they say they are. I read that the outfitter I'm going with has been banned. He was highly recommended to us by a booking agent I have used twice before for Idaho and Alberta hunts. In my research I have found the outfitter to be very reputable. I only wish I had found these forums before we booked our safari. There are some tempting outfits on here.

I just removed a ban this morning that was done in error (my error). Thought they were another one of the spammers.

This is a pretty friendly community and it comes down to following the rules, or in those cases not following the rules here on AH.

Two typical issues:

• Unsolicited Conversation/Private Message (PM) to promote, sell or offer anything to members is not allowed and if you are reported or found to be soliciting members of the site through the PM system you will be banned.

  • Don't post personal attacks against other members. Take up whatever your issue you have with them privately. The world probably doesn't care that you don't like Joe.

I come here for those very reason's. Most here are respectful and can argue a point without it being personal. Hate places where you get cussed and called everything under the sun for having an opinion. Thanks guys.

Yesterday I Googled Mark Sullivan. I've heard about him and I was curious. Wow. Now that is one controversial individual. His videos on You Tube are.....well interesting is probably the best way to describe them and him. If it's an act he's very good at it and if it isn't.....well anyway is he here?
