Whisky appreciation

I was introduced to Noah’s Mill on a hunt in South Georgia. At one hundred and fourteen proof, it benefits from a little water, but what a fine whisky!

I am getting into Japanese whiskies right now and Akashi is one of my absolute favorites. Tastes like a great scotch.
You would truly enjoy diving into the Kavalan (Taiwan) offerings.
A bit spendy...but so are English Doubles
Stock up before the word gets out.
You'll thank me
Best
Spike

enjoying a couple of fingers of Prideful Goat 12 year rye tonight.. found it by chance at a local liquor store and thought I'd give it a try.. its a very nice, smooth whiskey with brown sugar notes on the front and something like a light baking spice on the finish... will definitely buy this again...

I have mixed tastes
I drink a fair amount of Buffalo Trace and occasionally Jim Beam double aged and water. I am also a fan of Glenfadich. I am not a fan of peat and smoke.

Not a fan of bourbon or Tennessee whiskey.
I do like most highland or Speyside. Glendronach 15, Craigalliche 13, Old Pulteney 18 and Cigar Malt.

Been quite a journey of late, but @Frederik and I have been taste testing and experimenting a bit.

Both with a good Whiskys and cigars.

My top favorites are definately:
Lagvulin 16
Talisker 10
& Smokehead that @RockSlinger404 mentioned before, albeit that I haven't had it recently.

But one thing is certain, they all taste better in good company!

I believe our taste test lineup consists of:
Three Ships 10jr (Local peaty version)
Ardberg Wee Beasty
Bowmore 12

Tasting will commence afternoon of 11 April with 10 year Talisker in the mix just to compare.
It's our pre BASA day shoot ritual it seems. 12th April will be full of recoil and fun after good cigar and drink. Obviously we will also have a fire going and put some meat on.
@DWB try and be here on time !!!
@saswart this is a formal invitation.

I now see I was not the only one who commented that :censored: :ROFLMAO:

This is a terrible sight if you love bourbon. Kentucky River flooding the Buffalo Trace distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. Gift shop is swamped. I predict EH Taylor will issue a select bottle, immediately going for $5000 on the secondary market.

No!!!! Things are bad enough already. I was even planning my first trip out there this summer.
Nelson County is also flooded, luckily most of the distilleries there are on high ground except for Jim Beam’s plant over by Boston.

Noah’s Mill is my new go to. I hope this doesn’t disrupt that supply!

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA
