Whisky appreciation

It's a Westley Richards 8oz pewter flask in their sewed dark tan leather. I've always wanted a traditional flask and theirs is the best I've ever found. Had to order one. In your case, don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Several years ago, I bought myself a Louis Vuitton card holder. Before I could really start using it, my daughter bought me a card holder with my initials on it. I gave the Louis to my mom and have been using baby girl's gift ever since. Love it, wouldn't trade it, does everything I want in a wallet.
Well, Wifey bought it for me, so it's my go to for life now! Hahaha

Go back and look; I edited my reply and put a pic of my grandaddy's Stanley thermos that I still use to pump you up. Thank Wifey, fill'er up, and let the good times roll!

Man! That's awesome! Already thanked her for her thoughtfulness. She's a keeper. Thanks, @DaddyFlip !

Whew! Bringing the smoke!

Since @Rumrunner has made it a Scotch night and I happen to have this open, I'll submit Highland Park 15 in the ceramic, which is my favorite of all bottles. The bottle itself, mind you; though I really like HP15, it's not my favorite. The ceramic bottle looks and feels cool and it has a smooth, wide mouth that pours nicely.

No pictures, but the cold snow/ice storm + Burns Night = Talisker Storm night. Also have Lagavulin on hand to stoke the fires if I get really cold.

Haggis? I have on tartan boxers and one dram of Viking Heart left from last night, so that will be my celebration. After that I'll have another bottle share to post; stay tuned.

It's five o'clock somewhere, like, right here where I'm at. Looking at a sea of white and icicles hanging from the roof. Thankfully, we never lost power; I hope everyone within eyeshot of this post is doing well if inclement weather has found you. I'm warming it up all the way to 130 proof tonight with a SBS from JD- another pick from my trip to Owensboro, KY. The nose doesn't give away the heat and yet the heat won't knock you down. Needs to stand about 15 minutes before it really opens up. I'm not a JD regular, but I think this will be satisfying.

Recent trip to visit multiple National Parks and Monuments. Hit a mother lode in SW Colorado, lots of allocated Buffalo Trace, hard to find in Kentucky. Probably went a bit crazy but not sure when I’ll get back there.

Very nice, definitely a mother lode.

Holy crap. I hope those boxes are full too!

Is this any good? My whiskey connoisseur youngest brother gave my other brother this when I was visiting last week. I don’t usually drink hard liquor but they made me an old fashioned and it was pretty good.

Usually sought after and not always easy to find. It's a very pleasant bourbon.

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.
