There’s no way these trucks made it to Laramie without one of you “enthusiasts” being involved!

Oh, they probably packed the rocket launchers and machine guns in the front for transport. I assume it’s illegal to import those as well.

White is popular in Australia contrary to the reporters commentary.

Actually Landcruisers are quite popular here as an agricultural vehicle.

Production of those did occur a few years ago.

Australia follow the rest of the world for emission controls etc and can only buy what is available.

In about 22/23 Toyota changed the vehicle specs rating them on a different category with minor upgrades to avoid major changes to meet Australian Design rules applied to light vehicles.

Kinda stuffed a good thing. They also stopped the V8 Diesel version and added a 4cylinder diesel coupled to an automatic transmission as the only option. It drove up pricing on secondhand cruisers.

I wanted one before the changes but I’m not so sure on the new ones. They don’t have the same appeal.

We don’t fit machine guns to them here. Those Factory Ute bodies are less common in Australia but can be found. Most are fitted with a fabricated flat tray and drop sides.

At work we have 1 V8 manual and 3 of the 4cyl autos. Towing 3.5t daily the 4cyl kill the V8 manual.

Yes, I have seen a drag comparison online of the auto vs manual.

I have always owned manuals myself. Not a cruiser but I had several as work vehicles from the 6 cylinder, 6 cylinder turbo and the V8 and drove others in the fleet.

Not saying it’s the best but I would have liked one.

Chris they now have a V6 diesel that is supposed to produce more power and torque than the V8 version.
Toyota is still a POS tho. Hell even the unbreakable Hilux breaks now, bits fall off them like shock absorbers.
