Planning for my upcoming September trip to East Cape.

For Eastern cape on my most recent hunt I opted for more traditional health insurance from blue cross blue shield because there we were closer to medical coverage. However, I have used Ripcord and global rescue when I hunted leopard in Namibia and a few other hunts. My daughter went to Zim on a mission trip and we used Global Reacue for her.

If you have an Amex Platinum it has included Evac coverage. However, Global Rescue you can also purchase Security Evac coverage too.

I have never looked at Medjet. Have used Global several times. Looked real hard at Ripcord when I went to Tanzania. Global had more to offer. Never having used any Insurance and hoping I never have to> I do know ther are some great stories and some horror stories with both Ripcord and Global. As with any Insurance Company you are buying a Policy and not always the Insurance!

I used Global on my first hunt and Ripcord on the second just as covid was dieing down.

Just check them out along with checking with your personal insurance to see what they cover for international travel.

I need to know if this is legit. Photo with today's paper would do it.

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
