Zim in May for elephant, Limpopo in early July for hippo and plains game, then mid july in Kalahari for lion.

Some time this spring, I will hunt in California for pig with my daughter, which will be her first hunt. Really hoping I can get her enough momentum in her arrow. A pig is a tough animal for a 13 year old girl to kill with a bow. I honestly don't know which of the four hunts will be the most exciting for me.

Excellent. I nearly booked with them also. Booked for buffalo and hippo in Limpopo for August. Best of luck.
Hey @johnnyblues , I am booking with Mbizi, just couldn't resist.

@johnnyblues just wondering who you booked with in Limpopo as that was my plan for 2018 prior to booking this one? Anyway good luck and looking forward to the hunt report.

Beauty of the cheap hunt offers. I never would have thought it possible to get an elephant and lion all in for less than $25k. Hard to say no to that.

I booked with Marius from KMG safaris. Marius and I have talked for several years. I had a buffalo hunt on the back burner in case I didn't draw a leopard tag. Well we didn't get the tag. I was in negotiations with several other PH's here but Marius gave me a good deal on a buff and hippo hunt that no one could match. And as most know KMG is held in very high regards. Looking forward to this hunt I thought would never happen.

Hoping for both my Alberta mule deer and moose. If harvest co-operates, it would be nice to bag some geese as well.

Home in South Dakota, so much variety here.
March 21st head to Namibia for Leopard, Hyena, Dik Dik, Duiker, Genet.
August 22nd head to East Cape and hunt with Marius for some Tiny 10. Oribi, Cape Grysbuck, Blue Duiker, Copper Springbuck, Vaal Rhebok.
Will share camp with Johnnyblues a few days. .

NZ for me. Got a leave pass for a 6 day backpack hunt at the tail end of the roar. Will try and get high and hunt the bush edge and tops. Will target red stags and maybe chamois.
Just got to get fit now.

@stug

Good luck with New Zealand! I just got back a couple weeks ago from a non hunting trip with my wife to the north island and I now dream every night of a DIY high country rifle hunt for chamois and tahr.

Keep us in the loop and give us a report. I'd love to hear how the adventure goes.

Home: aoudad in Texas (end of march); elk in Wyoming (thorofare); have enough points to draw a muley tag in Colorado; Namibia in June (oryx, kudu, springbok, steenbuck, warthog, mtn zebra); and the over-the- counter spike elk hunt here in Utah with my "almost" hunting partner!

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]
