WHERE ARE YOU SITTING RIGHT NOW?

Phil,

Elite yes for sure.

Duckhunter feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but, according to the Wiki article this is one of only

1,920 made during a 1 year run in 1970?

Too bad nothing like that coming out of Motor City anymore...

Edited to add: Oops just saw your post above Duckhunter. I do stand corrected. Darn Wikipedia heh heh

TB you are correct they did make about 1900 but not all had the sport package or the 440 6pack and 4 speed combo.

I don't want to sound like I'm bragging or anything but she is pretty rare, she was #90 off the assembly line and one of 390 built with the sport package. Hot Rod mag estimates only about 36 left in one piece. I don't show her off much, the neighbors don't even know I have her, I keep her all to myself.

That's what I thought. I remember when I saw the one here in Phx. I was flipping out a little bit as I hadn't seen one in forever. Phoenix is a pretty good place to not only see classics, but to see them on the road. The environment being sheet metal friendly.

I ran it by a buddy of mine who confirmed for me the rarity. He owns several Boss 302's, a couple of Mach 1's and a Shelby Fastback. He was even surprised by me seeing one on the road.

Hello Jane, I know I was warned about you but I couldn't resist saying hi, and showing you and the rest of the younger crowd what a Super Bird is. I know how you like details.

Damn, that is one fine car!!!! My dream car~

Well I was enjoying a day in the squirrel woods haven't had much luck with the bow deer hunting so I said to myself, Self you need to go squirrel hunt'n so I did, up early in the woods and me with a JC Higgins 410 bolt action shotgun with #4 shot and guess what steps out a 45 yards. yeah you guessed it miss whitetail. figure they got me figured out. DSC_0188.jpg Right now I'm sitting in Fort Livingroom Alabama 1 mile from Cedar Creek Lake and 15 miles from Russelville AL.

If my Mopar memory is corrrect and thats a 440 wedge it either a big 4 barrel or the 6 Pack...I had a 440 Runner with 440 6pack as a driver when I worked for Chrysler 68 thru 70

I got tired of blowing clutches so I went with the 3000 lb Mopar clutch the last time.

At the risk of hijacking my own thread-
MOPARs, phooy, my 65 350hp vette would have blown its doors off as would have my 82 911SC both now long gone. :-) :-)

Now back to business, anyone from Africa going to chime in on there present abode?

 well you wanted to know where we were, well we're Hijacking your thread! Sorry Cliffy I'm a Chevy man as well my first car was in 1973 and I bought a 1973 Pontiac LeMans it was one if not the last car to come off the assembly line with a 350ci engine with 350HP. tell you a little story about that car. I was driving home one night 0200 in the morning (night Shift chevy truck assembly Flint Michigan) when I stopped at a red light on a four lane road a car pulled up along side of me. he kept inching forward like he wanted to race so when the light turned green we were off. moving along pretty quick he gave it his best but I was walking off and leaving him, when all of a sudden he turned his lights on. Yep my very first unmarked car I had never even heard of them at that time but being the honest Citizen that I was I pulled over as he got out another cop car pulled up and he told him that I've got this one and the cop car left. As the officer walked up to my window shaking his head he ask what are you doing? I told him I had just got off from work and was in a little hurry to get home. He looked at me and said You Were Racing Me weren't you! head down I said yes sir. He looked at me and Grinned, slow down. He went back to his car and left I had beat him fare ad square and he let me go. But I will admit after that I looked a lot harder at who I was racing.

I buddy of mine used to borrow a SuperBee SixPack when his car was in the shop. He let me run it up and down a Seattle alley a couple of times, circa 1970. Man that car was unbelievable! Like my dad used to say. It would pass anything on the road but a gas station!

 ain't that the truth. But those were the good old day Gas was .35 9/10 I could go to work and come home on a dollar.

Cliffy, first let me say I'm sorry for hijacking your thread I didn't mean to. Secondly I wish all of you guys would have kept your old GM's if for no other reason so that I could blow the bowties off of them again.:D

Oh yeah, no doubt!

I still get upset at my dad for selling his 69 Dodge Charger for next to nothing in 73'...440 (the whole works). And that was 20 years ago...as Homer Simpson says "duh". Nice one! The color dark blue.
