Perusing Ebay ads on optics and came across two offers that were shockingly low:
1. Swarovski F15 Pro 1.5-8x50 IRZ3 riflescope, new, $205
2. Leupold Mark 4 6-24x60 MI--$127.30, new
3. Leupold 1.5-5x20--68.40 new

How do they get Ebay to publish these kinds of scams?

What is the most laughable "deal" you have run across?.....besides ads by scammers to fix online scams

Confession: I did fall for $25 "Raybans" once.

If you can provide some objective points and reasons why it is a fake, they will remove it. Hit report and there is a menu with reasons and you can add a note and photos. I have reported several obviously fake items and ebay removed them. Optics seem to be one of the very worst problems followed by cheap Pakistani copies of high end knives.

I don't shop ebay that often but had good luck so far. Excellent actually. I pay close attention to the vendor's rating and read the reviews. I don't bother bidding on anything anymore. Too much fuss and bother.

Sometimes you get lucky.
I bought a high quality taxidermy Capercaillie grouse in the strutting pose for $75 shipped on Ebay.
Before anyone asks I sold it for a grand several years later.
