That’s 100 grains of RL-22. Neither my No.1 nor RSM .416 Rigby have been finicky about load development.
I haven’t decided on exposed turrets or not on this one. I am no stranger to long range shooting and have purpose built rifles for that purpose. I live and hunt in Arizona and my number one target species is usually Coues deer. Most of the time i shoot those at 300+ yards. So I spend a lot of time shooting out to 600-700 yards or more.Whats yoir recipe your using?
I gotcha. I would still if your going the LPVO route recomend a optic with turrets and some type of mil reticle.
it would give you a few tools that will help at all distances and give you the ability to stretch your legs if you choose to. More repeatably.
Keeping good dope on your rifle will also dramatically improve your efficiency. Highly recomend.
I completly understand. And the lower profile does have a nicer aestetic. Than a tactical ish optic. I like ruger number ones there a beautiful designI haven’t decided on exposed turrets or not on this one. I am no stranger to long range shooting and have purpose built rifles for that purpose. So that’s kinda why I’m leaning at no exposed turrets. I might go with the pig plex reticle to help with holdovers for those rare 200 yard or maybe a touch further shots. One of the reasons I wanted this rifle was that I wanted to go back to something simple. Something easy to grab to go for a walk in the woods or to take with me for a quick evening sit at water hole in the early bear season.
