I am a laboratory assistant in analytical chemistry, working at a university.
Apart from (trying to...) teaching students different subjects in chemistry, such as water analysis, surface technology, corrosion sciences and material sciences in general, we also do expertises and analysis of metals (mostly steel), their microstructure, or corrosion tests (to explain damages or accidents, to choose the proper material for a certain purpose or machine, or to justify a case of guarantee etc etc).
So, if anybody wants his favourite knife's blade analyzed, or it's hardness proved, or if you want to know why it's "stainless" (haha, we get everything to crumble to rust ) steel did corrode nevertheless...
Send it to me!
