They are some large tankers. What dwt are you carrying? Steam or diesel? My FIL was master on the Prince William Sound, 124,000 dwt.

This one is 110.000dwt, twin diesel engines (each 10000bhp), dynamically positioned.
I did my first 10 years on dieselpowered supertankers; 360000dwt being the biggest. Massive monsters
Never sailed on steam.

After the recent thread of "Any other interests" came up, I had the idea if some of us would like to tell about their jobs, past and present. Found this thread to resurrect and just read through all the posts. Lot's of (ex-) military and people in energy related industries

So my turn now:
Been working for 10 years for the same company, in Brussels, then Paris, then back again in Brussels. I'm an originator (= something like a sales trader) on the trading floor of a global utility. I negotiate gas and power supply contracts as well as ISDA/EFET and green PPA's with European giant industrials. And for my portfolio of customers, I execute their transactions on the markets. Also give market advice on energy markets, some youtube vids float around of me.
