Almost all hunters know what the big 5 are in Africa but there are many more amazing animals which people often never see or even know of.

Which of the small 5 is your favorite?

There are certainly some interesting insects in Africa.

definitely the rhino beetle, is there white specie.......:E Laugh::D Beers:

The ant lion reminds me of being a kid and playing with them. What fun to knock a little dirt in their hole and watch them flip it all back out. But, that rhino beetle is a beast!!!

Seeing a Leopard Tortoise would be pretty amazing.

I just love tortoises, seen some huge ones in NWP close to the Botswana border.

not real sure what flavour this turtle is , we came across him stalking in Limpopo ,in 2010
john the tracker wanted to eat him ,

and I found the rhino beetle trying to push open the door to my room one night ,so I snuke into my sons room and sat him on kody forehead .

I saw some type of giant millipede in Zim back in 1999. That was pretty cool, just due to sheer size alone. To my recollection it was around a foot long. My wife would have freaked!!! LOL

Nearly drove over this poor guy! Camouflage and size aren't a good combo when "charging" across the paths...

My vote is on the elephant shrew. I think they're pretty cute.

I like the Ant Lion! its weird looking and would go well next to my Cape buffalo trophy. ;)

+1

Would dig them out of the hole and try to feed them other insects. They didn't seem interested while being held. Would find a bug and drop it in the hole. Unfortunately it wouldn't take long to get the bug under the sand.

We got to see the Rhino beetle right in the dining room at camp in Zimbabwe. And elephant shrews running in the road early mornings. We got to see leopard tortoises in Zim and RSA. We were warned both times to not let them pee on us!

The Rhino beetle was really cool, but the elephant shrew was my favorite.

. Just tortoises making tortoises. I am trying to think of a good caption, but all I can think of is "when I am that age, I hope I am that persistent" Or "able"

There is no such thing for me as a favorite insect, voted for the tortoise. This one got caught in a bad place, crossing a road in Kruger Park. All the cars gave him room and avoided him.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA
