What is your deadliest weapon???

Not sure there’s a bird I’ve killed with any other shotgun than my Nova pump. Waterfowl, a turkey, doves…all of that has been with the same 12ga. Plenty of squirrel in there too, but not exclusive to the Benelli.

The Lee Enfield has accounted for more deer meat by volume, if not by headcount, than my others. Though I suspect the new 9.3x62 will be catching up this fall.

I've probably killed more stuff with a 10/22 than anything.

Kind of a trick but fun question.
Mine is a Remington 12ga 870 shotgun - accounted for over 1000 ducks, pheasants and quail
2nd is a Gamo pellet gun - 256 squirrels in my back yard and counting.

What say you?

Probably two rifles I no longer have:

Cogswell & Harrison .375HH. Wonderful guns and I've had several. One in particular was my backup gun for Africa on about ten safaris. As all of you know, when you bring a 375HH, a large bore, and a small bore, you inevitably shoot 90% of the game with the 375HH out of convenience. It surely has killed around 40 animals in Africa.

The other was a Dakota 7x57 single shot. (I now own its identical twin) That gun has been everywhere with me, bear in Canada, elk in New Mexico, Pronghorn too, deer in Wisconsin, and of course dozens upon dozens of plains game animals in Africa: kudu, hyena, dozens of impalas, warthog, duiker, zebras, and a lot more.

Honorable mention, I got a Marlin .22lr model 60 when I was eight years old. Between 8 and 14 years I'm sure that gun about 20,000 rounds and buckets of miscellaneous creatures.

All a man needs in this world is a 7x57, a 375HH, and a 470NE. Everything else is just a specialized derivative of what those three accomplish.

@Sideshow
My deadliest weapon is my big mouth
I can use it to build people up
Or
Tear them down.
It continually gets me in the shit because stupid people ask me stupid questions and they usually don't like my answers but hey that's life.

When it comes to rifles tho all my favourites are deadly if'n I do my part. So I can't say one is more deadly than the other.

Black Nylon 66 22lr - I hunted racoons to sell when the price was at an all-time high. When the price fell, I move on to other pursuits with the rifle. I wish I still had the rifle but it is still in the family.

The one between my ears.
@MS 9x56
Im glad you have something betwixt your ears mate.
Last time I had a hearing check, when the Dr looked in my ears all she could see was a sign saying space for rent, undeveloped and never occupied.
I guess there's not much between mine then.

If we're talking just numbers, not effectiveness: My Beretta a300 Xtrema 12ga. 100's of waterfowl accounted for at this point.

If we're talking effectiveness, not necessarily numbers: My Browning X-Bolt White Gold Medallion in 300WM.

Based on critter tally, I'd reckon the little Howa in .204 Ruger would be up there for me.

My remington 700 xcr in 7mm Remington mag shooting barnes 160gr tsx. I've got nicer rifles but that's the one that travels with me the most as it just feels right.
Dozens of animals in multiple states and countries.

I guess it depends on the context of the question…

If interested in which firearm has the ability to do the most damage the fastest… I’ve got a suppressed, piston, AR pistol that’s set up for CQB…it however hasn’t been deployed on anything but paper and steel at this point in its career…

If interested in which firearm has taken the most game overall, that’s easily the benelli super vinci 12ga.. bird hunting tends to be higher volume than big game..and I use that gun for everything from ducks to geese to dove to pheasant, etc…and have for a decade…

If asking what is the big game firearm most used.. it’s a 308 bolt action… although it’s one I no longer posses… my primary deer rifle for the better part of 20 years was a Remington 700 308 that was built in the late 70’s… over the last 20 years I’ve upgraded, traded, tried new things, etc pretty frequently.. so no one rifle has taken more than maybe a dozen deer and hogs since letting the 700 go, the only exception would be my AR10 which gets used prolifically on hogs.. I have no idea how many animals it’s taken…but it’s a lot…

All of that said, I’d guess 95% or more of the big game animals have all been taken with a 308… while I’ve probably got a dozen different “deer” rifles in the safe, 308 has religiously been my go to caliber for 40+ years..

AR10 in .308 with an IRHunter thermal scope on it. Myself or someone has used it probably twice a week for 12 years shooting feral hogs. The other AR’s with thermals are just as deadly, it’s just this one got used the longest time.

Fun thread so I will join in.
I would say deadliest if you are going by total kills then I would have go with my Mathews bows over the years. I have killed more stuff with Mathews bows than anything else. If we go deadliest as far as most accurate and most used beside the bow then the Savage 220 20 ga Slug gun is my deadliest. I grew up and live in a shotgun only zone for deer hunting so the 20 ga shotgun has been my go to for over 30 years of deer hunting.

Brno ZKK602 500 JEFF....

I have not kept count but I have a 308 that’s probably pushing 150-200 deer and close to 1000 hogs or more at this point. I have shot more birds with some of my shotguns but by weight of meat it’s that 308 kimber for sure
