Bought this 870 magnum Wingmaster from a classmate when I was a sophomore in high school, 1967. It killed a ton of birds till retina detachments forced its retirement a dozen years ago. I wore out two walnut stocks before switching to synthetic.

Then I acquired a Browning A5 frankengun (1961 receiver, 1975 trigger group, 1990s Miroku barrel) which has probably killed more birds ... and tens of thousands clay targets. Also consumed two sets of wood before switching to synthetic.

And of course the Springfield 03A3 my dad fixed up for me back in 1962. It has taken almost all my big game since then plus a few varmints and the odd grouse shot in the head. I have rebuilt it end to end several times ... but it will never wear plastic!
