Remington 600 Mohawk 308 with a 20 "bbl. and a composite stock. Kicks like a Missouri mule and is loud. I put a Timney trigger in it so it shoots good. The gun just doesn't feel right.
I bought Dakota arms in 416 Rigby with high end wood and a recoil reducer in the stock. Fired a box through it and placed in the safe. I don’t hate it but have never brought it out again.
Your an A-hole and a Jerk,, now that you don.t like me send me the RifleRuger M77 Mark II in .338 Win Mag. With a hollow composite stock. It is just painful to shoot. Too light weight and it is a fast jab rather than a big push like the bigger calibers. Shoot it on one elk hunt and it has been in the safe for the past 10+ years. When I find someone I really do not like, i will give them this gun as a present.
Yep, you can never find an Elephant when you need one.I like then all but my least used is a Ruger M77 458wm RSC. Its a beautiful rifle but nothing that I hunt calls for it. On the other hand it has kept the elephants out of the garden.
I do.That 600 will sell in a nanosecond if you decide to unload it.
PM me with an email address and I'll send some.Got a picture of the Mohawk?
Yes, but have you ever seen a charging pack of Texas red squirrels or attacking mob of Norwegian wharf rats?!? That banana clip can be as critical as CRF on a .416!I saw it mentioned the Ruger 10-22 and their inability to feed properly from a large banana magazine.
It has been known for over 30 years that there are problems with them feeding from non Ruger magazines and the banana type. I wouldn't discount them for not being able to feed from them. Also the cost of a 10-22 keeps them available to most of the public. If you want to jazz it up a little with a new trigger, barrel, and stock then you will have a very nice top of the line target 22. And still be in it for less than some of the higher end 22's.
