Bob, of course you can also use it for that :sneaky:

These Loden Ansitzsäcke are a real blessing for outdoors.
When you're out at night hunting foxes or boars, they really do the trick.
From -10 Celsius always take the bag here and my dachshund on my lap, he likes it too.
Anyone who freezes is stupid or poor (or a soldier who can't help it :().

If Africa is on your mind, remember this. Life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer to the end, the faster it goes.

When I was 18 I spent a fall and winter guiding and trapping. The guy that owned the trap line and guiding outfit was around 62, a legend. Snowshoeing over a pass, I would constantly get ahead and find myself waiting for him. Finally he said, "Son, you are never going to get rich doing this and if that is what you want you are doing the wrong thing. You might as well slow down and enjoy the journey."
Somehow I feel that advice is applicable to hunting and well, life, I guess...

  1. Be Patient
  2. Know the beast your after
  3. Only use gear (weapons especially) you trust and are comfortable with.
  4. Know YOUR limitations. I almost died in West Texas 2 years ago.
  5. Be Patient

Wind, pressure, and availability. Like already said, if they ain't there, you're not going to be successful.

Don't leave deer to find deer.
If you can, get closer.
If you have any doubts, don't pull the trigger.

(Probably in increasing order of importance)

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
