The Expert comes with grade 5 walnut and diplomat with grade 7 walnut.

OK...if that's the only 2 grades then presume mine is the expert as well.....and if you are looking for somewhere to use it I think I can oblige....it can come and meet its distant cousin :A Thumbs Up:

Yesterday our daughter shot her first roebuck. Mauser 66, full stock, 7x57, 175 grs Partition. Proud daughter, even prouder old man.

Congratulations to your daughter and you for having a hunting daughter. Boots look fine maybe PF Flyers. Not sure how many pair I wore out in the fifties and sixties. Would have wore out more if I didn’t go barefoot during the summer!

Congratulations on your first game animal young huntress! And congrats to her dad for teaching her the art.

Magnificent. Even my daughter took her first muntjac stag with my Churchill Gunmakers Model Deluxe 7x57mm Mauser (using Winchester Super X 175Gr soft points) in 1990.

I find my cz550 7x57 my favorite gun ever. Have hunted many animals with it big and small but seems like sweet spot all rounder loads is currently 150gr ELD-X, with 44.9gr IMR4350 - approx 2680fps. Largest game hunted was Eland and furthest Eland shot @ 212m, but for most “bushveld” type hunting an excellent caliber.

Still have to work on her choice of "hunting boots"...
'was going to comment on that (had the very same at that age!) LOL

One of the old great outdoor writers recommended moccasins or tennis shoes for putting the sneak on game. Maybe Nessmuk or Townsend Whelen but, I can't remember which.

Be careful of moccasins if pine trees are around. Moccasins have smooth leather soles & act like skis on pine needles. You will spend time getting up off the ground! Trust me I've been there. They are quiet & comfortable though!

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
