What have you bought that you shouldn't have, but don't regret it

A Merkel Stutzen in 7-08. Shot it a few times, less than 20, never hunted. I take it out of the case and look at it occasionally. At the time I was full of lust for it.

My ex wife's house for her.

One of the best things that I did along with one of the worse.

My father had a meltdown over a cheaper SkillSaw crapping out while I was using it (therefore my fault). He thundered--go to the hardware store and get the best they've got--put in on my account! I did--it was some kind of commercial worm-driven job that cost $200+ in 1969. He had another fit...but he used that saw for decades until he retired...long after he backed up and stated I had gotten him something better than he knew. Lesson? Good tools are always worth it.
For my part--best thing was Zeiss optics--spent out of my league, but the best in optics are ALWAYS worth it!

Well hell, if we’re gonna get out in the weeds with boobs and all………………:cool:

we can't wait for the calendar featuring whitmer in a bikini sitting on top of it! :p Stihls are better but I've had Huskies for 20+ yrs that still fire up 1st pull!
Good saws. Best saw I ever had was a Stihl 044. Ran the hell out of it for over 20 years. I think even today it was(is) about the best ever made. It's kind of funny here out west, it's about a tossup between Husky and Stihl in the bigger saws.

Not to laugh, however. I'm middle aged & still afraid of American Women ;

Someone told me once "Don't ever get Married. Just Find a Woman you Hate & Buy her a House .. skip the Middle man".

Yup. Had an 044 Farmboss. No idea how many trees that thing felled.

One hell of an evening at Sheri's Ranch, after a rather large win on a Pittsburg/Denver game, that was all but lost, if it wasn't for bad coaching and poor player execution. Nothing like being young and walking tall.

This one sticks out amongst many stupid things I've done over the years and lived to tell.

A bottle+ of 'free wine' at the DSC Gala Auction in 2011 led to the winning bid for our first safari to Zimbabwe. Ann turned from talking to her sister, looked at me and said "What did we just do?" I informed her we weren't going to Paris that year (of course in 2013 for our 10 year anniversary we did Iceland and Paris). Neither of us would change that outcome.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
