What did you reload today?

I wish you the best in attempting your journey, but if you want to bring your own rifle for it…… Australia will give you a lesson on regulation insanity that will make you regret the entire trip.
I do not want to conquer the country, just travel about.....

Loaded some 458 Win mag in Norma cases. Federal 215 primer 80 grains of AA2230 with the LeHigh 380 grain flat point

Played with different overall length
you can load them longer and add more powder and get that load up to 2500fps plus, have fun

Actually, all I reloaded these holidays was my rhetorical ammo to argue with my libtard relatives....

Didn't load a thing today, did run 100 brand new sticks Bertram 8mm Remington mag brass through the Ugly Annealer, when the 8mm Lyman case trimmer pilot gets here I'll FL resize all cases, then square case mouths and debur.

Will load all cases with CCI-250 primers, RL-22 powder under 220gr Northforks at 2950 and be set for anything short of Cape buffalo up ; ]

20 470 NE 500 grain CEB solids using 84 grains RL 15.5. Shooting this weekend

Tested a few charge weights in the 300H&H with 180gr Hornady CX bullets.
Seems happy with 62.0gr of N555 .483” @ 100m
The CX bullets shoot better once the barrel is a little dirty.

What velocity are you getting with that load?

Not to derail this thread, but, looking to get a progressive press, have a rock chucker, any recommendations? TIA.

I have one of each of these:

Redding T-7 is great and all one needs except when they load for a cartridge from the extra long 500 NE family or a 505 Gibbs or ...

If you want to "buy once, cry once" for the best press out there; Area 419 Zero Press. It's like buying that 600 horsepower Corvette or Rolex watch that you always wanted. No one needs a Corvette or Rolex but sometimes its not only about need.

The 419 Zero press is large enough for my 500/416 cartridges!

Taking advantage of our very cold winter weather to hibernate in the basement and load up a big batch of ammo. The last couple days produced 500 x .308 Win., some loaded with 168gr. target bullets and some with 165 gr. hunting bullets. I also loaded 100 old -style 180 gr. RN bullets today. Not a currently fashionable choice, but I like how they perform on moose at typical bush hunting distances. I should have a good supply for both targets and hunting come spring.

Those round nose will put a "thump" on things!

Yes, I got lucky and found a couple boxes of old Remington Cor-lokt RN .308" 180 gr. Any time i've seen them used on game they've performed very well.

Have been working up some 375 H&H loads with 250 grain HDY CX. Using H4350 (76.0 - 78.0 gr in .50 gr increments) and Accurate 4064 (63.0 - 65.0 gr, .50 gr increments). 3.63" COL. HDY factory CX M.V. @ 2,700 fps.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
