What cartridge have you thought about the most, but never owned a rifle in it?

My dream is a double rifle in 450/400 Jeffery.

In my wildest fantasy I’m able to purchase von Blixen’s H&H in .577 NE and take it to Tanzania after a trophy bull elephant. That’s day dream stuff though. My real world goals are a Sauer 404 Classic in 404 Jeffery and a Merkel double in 470 in that order.

I have had all kinds of toys through the years. I have been curious about the .325 WSM. The case loaded round just looks so damn cool to me, which I suppose is a good enough reason. Of course I have no need for it at all.

In the seventies I always dreamed of the cartridge 300 WBY Magnum and an Weatherby Mark V rifle.

I still don't know why I never bought one in the meantime. Maybe it's not too late !

Buy one and be happy! I’ve bought a few rifles and one handgun the last couple of years. They are ones I’ve wanted for years, but life seems to get in the way along the way?

My all to time favorite was a 416 Rigby, but I now own one, so that disqualifies it as a caliber that I haven’t owned.

Not having a "need" has never stopped anyone here from buying another firearm.
Case in point, I didn't "need" my last three rifles and two pistols.

I looooove mine and I know where you can get a double in that caliber for a really reasonable price. No it’s not my double but it is at my house.

A 500 NE double. Got brass and bullets for it. I am not sure that I need it since my 505 gibbs and 500 jeffery. I can use the bullets in my 500 jeff.
