I agree with Philip, it is time for a double.
Save the money and go hunt with your grandfathers 375 h&h. That’s my opinion…. Pretty damn cool to have your grandfathers DG gun.Lol I'd never sell my 375 h&h I inherited it when my grandfather passed away or my 460 wby it was the very last rifle my uncle ever built before he passed away in fact I had to send it to another gunsmith for the final muzzle threading (muzzle brake for practice only wouldn't hunt with it on) but I could potentially sell or trade this newer action in the future
Sell the 460 and buy a DR in 470 or 500 NESo let's say if you already had a 375 h&h and a 460 wby (built on a cz action) and also had a cz 550 action laying around with the rigby bolt face what would you choose?
No the rifle cam all finished. Came with single stack pistol like magazine and feed rails. Modifying it with CZ 550 MAGNUM bottom metal, magazine and GET feed rails MACHINED for staggered stack. Stock opened up for magazine and bottom metal. 700gr bullets at 22 to 23 hundred feet/ sec is not bad.Thats a very cool project! Minus the cross bolts did you have to reinforce the stock at all?
505Gibbs would need a "specialised" action (GMA?), 500 Jeff can use a Mauser 98; MUCH cheaper, easier option ...Wrong action for that, bolt face diameter is marginal.
