What are you up to this year? 2024 hunting plans!

My son and I are going to east cape of SA for buf, lechwe, springbok, black wildebeest , bushbuck in September. We will be with John x safaris

Headed South Africa mid June 14 days at Bos en Dal. Limpopo area for hippo then back Northwest main camp for croc and buff cow possibly.
That's about all the plans I have for 2024.

And Welcome to the Forum!

Plains game at @Bos en Dal SAFARIS in July…

The wife and I both drew elk and deer tags in Idaho this year… so we’ll go there in October…

We also picked up a New Zealand hunt on auction at DSC last week.. undecided at this point if we’ll do that in 2024 or 2025…

Hello Rcarlson375,

Khomas Highland Hunting Safaris of Namibia, welcomes you to the greatest forum on earth.

To answer your question, I just returned from hunting upland birds and waterfowl at fellow forum member Gizmo’s place (Rocking G Ranch), up in the panhandle of Texas.
There were other forum members there as well.
These included but were not limited to Mekaniks (organizer of our visit to Texas) and 1dirthawker.

I apologize to the others who’s real names and screen monikers escape me at the moment (my old man decaying memory).
Each and every one were tip top chaps, safe gun handlers and well above average wing shots as well.

For the next one, my wife, myself and 1dirthawker are booked into the Namibian outfit that I advertise for —> Khomas Safaris.
More on that in my next post here, momentarily.

Meanwhile, I see you live in Wasilla, AK.
I live in Los Anchorage.
And so, if you ever get down to this area, some of us here frequent Great Northern Guns at Tudor Road & Wright Street.
So, perhaps we will cross paths there one day.

Best Regards,
Velo Dog.
(Paul)

I'm planning on finishing out our 23-24 hunting seasons by doing some waterfowl and small game hunting. Then start the 24-25 hunting season with spring turkey hunting, then some varmit hunting till our fall hunting seasons start.

As mentioned, later this year my wife, myself and our friend Don Hunley aka: 1dirthawker will be traveling to Northern Namibia later this year.
Don and myself will be hunting antelopes, mountain zebra and warthog.
Our primary focus, individually and collectively, will be tracking bull eland down in the Kalahari Desert.

My wife often tags along when I’m wandering about with the PH and a rifle.
But she is not a hunter her own self.
She is however, a fishing junky for sure, which is typical of many lifetime Alaskans.
And so, we will also be doing some surf casting, over on the Skeleton Coast area of coastal Namibia (north of Swakopmund).

The below attached pics are of our (mine and her’s) last time there, in 2021.

Doggo out.
