What African game have taken using a .22

You can do a lot with a .22 but then again there is a lot you shouldn't do. One of my first posts was about a poacher in east Africa who poached elephant with a .22 short. I didn't believe the stories until it was pointed out that it was verified!

I have taken Impala (head shots) with a .22 but nothing bigger. So stick to anything smaller and thin skinned. Why push it?

Know your limitations or get a bigger calibre.

I know that this thread is more than a year old but as a new member I thought I would pass along my .280AI loading.
I am shooting F Open long range rather than hunting but here is what is working for me and I have managed a 198.14 at 800 meters.
That is for 20 shots. The 14 are X's which is a 5" circle.
