Well boys, what's your temperature like now?

103f today.
I was repairing the 2nd floor balcony that had started to allow water to ingress and rot the structure. I used my wooden boat building experience to cut out the rotted timber and then epoxy in doublers and relacement timbers. The 19mm ply floor has then been completely sealed with epoxy to eliminate the risk of water penetrating the new floor. Luckily I had slow hardener given the temperature.

A bit warm here in Oz. Mowed some lawns early today and not much more achieved……

-30°C this morning. A good day to burrow into the basement and do some more reloading. My new Merkel Drilling 20ga over 6.5x55 Swede just arrived, I'm impatient to take it out and shoot some test loads.

Mid 70's F today (1-4-24) and tomorrow. Tomorrow, I will add 500 pounds of corn to each deer feeder, check the quail feeders, water-seal my patio cover over the picnic table, reset the SIM card and place on hibernate on the Cell cameras, pack everything into the Conex Box and call it a season. Monday a high 49F and getting colder each day thereafter.

Snow and rain mix in Utah but the ski resorts should be getting some accumulation. The duck hunting has been outstanding-

You oughta take your Merkle out in those temps and check out the function of the rifle. See if it'll "crack" open the barrels from the receiver? LOL

11F now, headed to 6F. Colder than a witch's tit and approaching the temps of a well diggers ass. Glad I don't have to work tonight. LOL

-6F, was -11 earlier.

In Michigan, where I'm visiting family.

Yeah. That makes sense

Sunday morning 12*F. 20 mph NE wind , cleaning deer in Barnhart Texas
It’s very difficult skinning a frozen deer if you’re a native Texan

Here in Wyoming we went into the deep freeze for a few days. This was yesterday morning and the high was 5 degrees F.

About the same here. No idea about wind chill- but dang cold! Been helping some friends with firewood last couple days. When it’s this cold, before starting, I put the chainsaws on the stove for a little while ;) The Stihl has always been a bugger to start when really cold, much harder than the Husqvarna.

26..... above. Back in Minnesota 27... below zero.

A few flakes of snow here in Texas this morning. Businesses closed. God save Texas;)

Just outside Houston. Our first snow in several years.

28 degrees f. In Myrtle Beach, SC and were under a winter storm warning. The snow is expected to begin around 8:00 EST and last through the evening. My Daughter, SIL and my two grandsons are driving up from Florida to witness the event as neither of the kids have ever seen snow in person. They all moved to Florida over 15 years ago when my SIL got out of the Army. We can't wait to see their angelic faces as they watch the snowfall and then go out to play in it in the morning. Not to worry as Grammy and PopPop have plenty of hot cocoa for them both and we'll be baking chocolate chip cookies for them as well.
