Here are 2 pics of my pre64 Winchester Model 70 in 375 H&H Mag. with my Buffalo that I shot on my 1st ever Safari last June.

And a pic of my 375 Ruger that I just finishing building out on a Savage action. I had all the parts already except for barrel so I ended up adding a 20" carbon fiber barrel and it comes in under 10 lbs. with my Silencerco 46M and balances perfect. I'm going to start and break in the barrel this weekend and I'm hoping to use it on a free range Nilgai hunt later this year.

Please tell us about your Ruger #1 .375 Flanged. Looks like a custom barrel with the placement/type of sling swivel, length, and front sight. Something I've been thinking about.

It has a SSK barrel. Didn't know it when I got it, but if it shoots like that, no complaints.

My 375 H&H has been my go to gun for a long time.

Bought it when I was 18 in 1994 its an original Musgrave K98 it has taken from the smallest red duiker, grey duiker, springbuck, mountain reedbuck, common reedbuck, impala, warthog, blue wildebeest, black wildebeest, nyala, kudu, buffalo cow and lioness. Some species multiple off especially warthog, impala, blue wildebeest and kudu.

It was my backup rilfe when I was a full time PH last year I had the rifle for 30 years so to know it is a understatement it went through a few scopes and also a long time without using open sights only.
1st scope was a Tasco World Class 4x40
2nd Scope was Lynx 20mm 1-6 Power single tube
3rd Scope was Docter 30mm tube with german post
4th Scope was Moose 1-6 x 40
5th and final scope and very happy with it Zerotech Thrive 3-9 x 40 normal Duplex
It has seen use in Mozambique and South Africa mostly. My son now skips taking his 6.5x55 and only use the 375 when we hunt bushveld unless I am using it.

I have also won a few BASA shooting days with it plus Top Gun of the year also BASA.
