Luangwa Valley in Zambia. He gave us the slip for two days, only to take a step at 220 yards while I was squeezing the trigger on the third day. Hit him about a 1ft back, and he ran off. We searched for an hour to no avail, only to have our main PH who stayed in the Toyota, say we needed to look one more time. Good decision too, he ran 50 yards from where I shot him and pilled in. Shot was back, but still double lunged.
