Looking for a couple boxes if anyone has some extras. Or if you know of a place I can buy some.

Thanks

Wow, that's an interesting cartridge. Bet it leaves my .338 Win Mag in the dust?

Yes and it's not mine. A close friend is going after the white bear in Canada soon. He has a box but needs to practice more. Can't find any online....

Thanks in advance krish for checking

You mean Polar Bear. Then recommended minimum is 375. 416 is better. From what I have read.

Yes, it does have a muzzle brake. And yes Polar bear. I have a Remington 375 ultra mag in SS/synthetic I offered him to take. And he has a 375 flanged double that he took to Africa. I shot my cape buffalo when we were there together. He is pretty much set on the Weatherby.

I think that if it would of been available from the factory when I bought my .340 I would of owned one.

It is quite the round.

I am happy with my 340 than my 338-378. For me 340 is more manageable than the other.

If Weatherby had made a .35-.378, Townsend @Bob Nelson 35Whelen would have probably been all over it like a wallaby on a tomato plant!
@CoElkHunter
Mate wallabies don't like tomatoes ya Muppet.
Why would I want a 358/378 when the Whelen does such a good job.
All that extra powder, recoil and expense for what over practical hunting distances

Krish, did you find any ammo?
Thanks

Bob,
Since when have you read much of anything here on AH with regards to "practicality"? You buy a rifle in the largest cartridge you can find in the caliber you want and go hunting! I your case it WOULD be the .358-.378. I don't think even the .358 Norma Magnum would come close?

You can have to much of a good thing tho. I have mellowed with age and don't need anything that will slap me sillier than I already am.
Plain and simple works for me.

Krish, he is set on the 225 Nosler partitions. I am sending you a PM

Thanks for all the responses on my "wanted" ammo. My buddy is set on his ammunition for the Polar bear hunt. A little light in my opinion, but you know what they say about opinions, HA. He's going the end of May, so I'll report on his success later.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
Behind the scenes of taking that perfect picture.....

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
