Wanted to buy Winchester Model 70 .375 H&H Safari Express

The Montana Rifle Company should have their TSAVO in .375 H&H in production and available around Christmas this year.

The MRC TSAVO will be higher priced than the Winchester M70 but I believe it will be a better made rifle.
I put the MRC TSAVO rifle in the same class as Kimber of Oregon rifles. A big step above my beloved Model 70's!

While those are gorgeous, they’re a bit rich for my blood. If Winchester would make enough to have in stock I’d be more than happy to pay the $1800 they suggest selling a new one for. All my other Winchester 70’s have been great and I’d have no issues with getting another.

I don’t want a pre 64, because who knows if the barrel has been worn out, and I wouldn’t want to be “that guy” going out hunting and potentially beating up a rare classic.

Yeah I agree. I might be new to this forum but if I was selling something here I’d encourage people to check me out on a different forum (Long Range Hunting is my main, and can respond to messages on there for proof that I’m the same Rifleman97) for my trader history and hundreds of messages over years of being on the forum. Without that, I’d be cautious
I still wouldn't buy from someone I didn't know.

I am over getting the shaft.

Mark,

It’s a fine rifle no doubt. But I couldn’t pay the asking price when I already know I’d have to pay to replace the stock and have the barrel cut and recrowned to make it “mine”.

I keep hoping to see their actions for sale.

I did manage to find a beautiful South Carolina production Safari Express in .375 H&H on this forum. Great transaction, no issues, gorgeous rifle in excellent condition from WC86. Excellent seller, sent to my FFL. Picked it up last week and couldn’t be happier.
Soooo...starting a world-class 375 collection?
You have a pretty good headstart.
Best

I figured I would pick it up since I started the ball rolling on looking for one. Plus I’m a little nervous about scratching that beautiful CZ!

Ha! You told me you you're hard on them...tried my best to break you of the habit. Mission accomplished.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
