I have a synthetic stocked 28 if you want to try it but the logistics of getting it to you then back to me seem overly complicated

It's a big 28 and they usually come in lightweight configuration. Most use them for mountain type hunting.

Most breaks will unscrew, you would just need a thread protector. They are easy to find in SS or Black.
