I am looking for a 375 Ruger in the Guide Gun with 20” barrel and muzzle brake/weight for a decent price. (I prefer to buy from a member rather than gunbroker.) I want the one with the ugly laminate stock preferably. I may would consider a 416 if it is an excellent deal, but prefer the 375.

I have a 375 ruger it’s the African model. If your interested we might be able to work something out.

I would also consider the Ruger Hawkeye Alaskan with brake and 20" barrel also.

Is the muzzle brake required? I have an Alaskan w/o the brake I’m looking to part with. PM me if you’re interested.

Sounds like a deal In The making

I have one. And love it! Good luck finding one.

Not yet. None of them have a brake, but it’s still possible that I will take one of the two offers. Both parties are offering a fair deal, just not exactly what I’m looking for. I’ve also located one other like I want, just a bit more than I really prefer to pay for a used rifle. If anyone has the guide gun with brake/matched muzzle weight and 20” barrel, please contact me soon. I’m getting antsy and will almost certainly buy something by Monday, possibly this weekend.

I have a 375 Alaskan with the brake and hogue stock. That I would sell but I also have about 25 boxes of factory Hornady ammo that would have to go with the rifle

I appreciate the offer, but I couldn’t probably afford the ammo and all, even with a great deal. That’s a lot of ammo! Thank you for the offer and response though.

will 416,

the 375 typically does not have a brake, and..... you don't need one for the 375 ruger. if you can shoot a 338 win or a 300 win, you can shoot a 375 ruger.

I don’t mind the recoil at all. I shoot my 416 Rigby quite alot and really enjoy it. It’s just one of those things that I really think is a cool idea (muzzle brake and dynamically matched muzzle weight). Also, if shooting from a bench, (without a crowd around and with use of ear protection) a brake can be pretty fun on longer strings of fire. I also hope to one day teach my son to shoot larger rifles and this could be a cool thing to ease him into it. I got my first 375 h&h when I was about 12 or 13 and it was a wonderful thing. Nice buffalo by the way, 1dirthawker.

To everyone who responded and to those who offered theirs up for sale, I want to say thank you. I recently purchased one exactly like I was looking for. Those that offered, you should have no problem selling them at those prices on this site. Thanks again.

Where did you find one?

This is a 3 year old thread, but if I remember correctly, I bought it from another member here. It’s the best handling gun I own.

Hello, My wife and I hunted with Marius 2 years ago. He fit us into his schedule after a different outfitter "bailed" on us. He was always very good with communications and although we didn't end up meeting him personally, he called us multiple times during our hunt to make sure things were going well. We were very happy with him.

Reach out to the guys at Epic Outdoors.

They will steer you right for landowner tags and outfitters that have them.

I have held a membership with them for years and they are an invaluable resource.

Way better that asking random people on the internet...WAY better

Skydiver386,

Did you ever find your 30-06 CZ550? I own a fairly solid conditioned one, if you wanted to talk.
